Reaction of Dutch Works Councils on violating Dutch labour laws at Alcatel-Lucent management in The Netherlands
Dear All,
From Monday the 5th of February the works councils of former Alcatel and Lucent organizations in The Netherlands has suspended all negotiations with the statuary director and his management team.
In the opinion of both works councils, the organization, managed by the statuary director and his team is not taken the works councils seriously and is violating the Dutch labour laws.
In a letter, the works councils are demanding negotiations on a respectful and constructive manner and to stop the violating of the labour laws. By law, all legal actions needed for the merger and integration has to be stopped.
It is regretted by both works councils that we had to come to this drastic action and we hope that the statuary director and his team have a mind to invite the works councils back to the table based on the stipulate conditions.
Kind regards,
President of the works council in the Netherlands
